I walked into our bedroom to find this!!! Do you think he could be jealous? Cassidy smiles all the time, but everytime I go to film her or get a picture she stops. This video is my attempt at getting her to smile, with mikey trying to get on camera as well.Halloween Trunk or Treat: We brought cassidy around to the cars so she (her parents) could have some candy! Cassidy in her stroller, getting ready to take a walk around the lake. However, she Left mommy a surprise in her pants once we reached the lake, and Mommy did not have a change of clothes. Lol It all worked out. The Pymms let us borrow their DMU blanket.

Introducing our new arrival!!

This time it was the real thing. Cassidy was born Aug 16th at 11:53 pm. She weighed
6lbs and 5 oz., and was 19 1/2 inches long! She is absolutely perfect!! Beautiful, and you can feel her spirit so strong! The veil is thin when you bring a little one into the world! she came to us right from God! We love her so much and would do anything for her!!

The Iowa state fair!

Last few days before Medical School classes begin

We scored some free tickets to go see the Iowas cubs. It was a lot of fun! However, it seemed a little weird not having family with us at a baseball game. We did not end up staying the whole time, but when we did go the cubs were wasting the other team. GO IOWA CUBS!! I am such a nerd! :-)
We decided to try out the local canoing. It was five dollars to rent a canoe for a half hour, so we decided to give it a try and it was totally worth it. The lake is beautiful, and their was a light breeze. It was still way hot with the humidity and we felt like jumping in. We get so much rain here! In the last picture we took it from the canoe and it shoes the water flooding up into the park bench and trash can.

baby update

So we went to the ultrasound and the doctor said everything is great!! she currently weighs 5 pounds and 12 oz. and she has a full head of hair!! I thought she was going to be bald, but I was very wrong!! :-) I am now dilated to 2 cent. and effaced 70 %!
Carl had his first day of orientation for med. school, and said it went really well. They had a family BBQ after that was tons of fun, and of course free food! We really are loving Iowa, but we miss you all very much!!! cant wait to see you guys!!! Love ya all!!!

July 26th update a day late. opps ;-)

So yesterday I went to the doctors. I am 36 weeks along, dilated to a 1, and efaced 60%. The doctor said she is measuring a little small so they are going to do an ultrasound next time. The doctor did not sound to worried though. We are excited because the baby could come anytime now. The doctor is also confident that she would be just fine which is a comfort to know. We are so excited and ready for her to be here!
Mikey, also is sporting a new look. I think he is feeling a lot better with this look and the heat. He is such a good dog! We love him very much! We played a noise of a baby crying to him, and he perked up. He knows something is coming.

He caught a bird. Has yet to catch a rabbit, but he is obsessed with trying.

Fun at the park!

Yesterday when went to Easter Lake park and discovered that they have a beach and people can swim! We took Carl's younger sisters Sammi and Anna-Marie. It was stinking HOT outside!! The temperature was 96 without the humidity but adding the humidity into that equation it was between 105 and 115 degrees F all day! YIKES! However, the water felt great!!! we forgot to bring our swim suits because we were not expecting a place to swim. Some of us still got wet anyways. Carl was not feeling to well because of the heat, he chilled in the shade and watched us. ;-) I think everyone had lots of fun!

We walked nine holes. Next time we do that we are are going to wear our swimsuits because we were drenched from the humidity!!

Iowa!!

So I know this picture is sideways I cant figure out how to make it go the other way. This is us in front of our home in Iowa. Its small and cozy! The weather has been really humid, and It only took us a day to realize why their are no sprinkler systems. Its because it rains probably every other day, but it is a warm sticky rain. Our dog, Mikey, loves his new home. He likes to run around in the back and try to catch the rabbits and birds. Their are tons of rabbits! The house is all painted with Papa and Mammy's help, and we finally have the house all unpacked! :-) Their are so many gold courses around here I think Carl is in heaven!! Everything is going smoothly with growing baby see will be arriving in 6 weeks! can you believe it!!

This little one is going to be the new addition to our family. She will be arriving in August. The due date is August 18th and we are so excited!! Their is still a lot to get done and a lot of changes before then. We will keep you updated!
